About the Studio

Eertmoed Studio is the design practice of Kyle Eertmoed.


Before starting the studio, Kyle co-founded Knoed (2011–2021), a Chicago-based brand design agency. After that, he served as Director of Brand Design at a startup (2021–2024), leading brand initiatives that contributed to a successful acquisition in a $27B market.


After two decades as a studio founder and in-house director, Kyle's been on both sides of the table. That experience shapes how we approach every project, with the perspective to make sure it lands right the first time.

Our portfolio spans a diverse range of industries, including architecture and design, hospitality and retail, and products and services. It's guided by a single conviction: most brands don't need more. They need less, done with more care. Subtract what doesn't matter to reveal what does.


Our work has been recognized by publications such as Communication Arts, Dwell, GD USA, Awwwards, and The Dieline. Kyle has also shared his expertise through speaking engagements at the Brand New Conference, CreativeMornings, AIGA, SAIC, and the Apple Store.
